The Duck Donuts OBX team began working to serve owner Keith Exton’s first business, EspressOasis, in 1991.  They have since transitioned into the business of remotely operating six Duck Donuts (Mystical Sphere Donuts, DBA Duck Donuts) franchises in the Outer Banks (OBX).

Exton purchased 4 Duck Donuts OBX franchises in 2016, and has since opened 2 more successful locations.  Marketing director Cappy Troy works with a team of professionals that ensures the smooth operations of all 6 Duck Donuts stores.  During the Summer the Duck Donuts team spends a good bit of time on-site in OBX (and they unapologetically love it!), and they support the locations year-round.

Remotely and efficiently managing 6 thriving locations is both an art and a science.  The secret?  Thorough training, combined with clearly-communicated goals and shared vision, bolstered by faith and trust in other competent leaders and teams.
