Argo Worldwide Commodities’ niche is protein in the form of unprocessed beef, pork, & poultry for international sale.  The company buys and sells these commodities.  They are intimately and comprehensively familiar with overseas trade routes;  with the majority of their business being fresh and frozen product trade with Mexico.

Carlos Bada, the principal for A.W.C., is a graduate of the University of British Columbia (Canada).  Around age 23 he got his first job in no small part because of his fluent Spanish, and found himself being sent to Argentina to purchase beef.  His career arc took him to Smithfield Foods, and in 2007 he left to found A.W.C.

Fun facts:  Carlos’ first language is Spanish.  He went to a French school where he was formally trained in that language and also received formal English instruction– though it was his “friends on the street” as a youth where he became fluent in English.  He is married to Olivia Bada.
